pictorial map of the Panhandle of
Texas, issued through the coopera-
tion of the Amarlllo and Canyan
bronchos of the American Associa-
tion of University women, will be
placed in a great exhibit of maps at
Columbia university, New York.
This map was made by Miss Isa-
bel Robinson, head of the art de-
partment of the West Texas State
Teachers college, nod 1000 copies
were printed. On it are shown the
old ranch headquarttta. battle
fronts and other points of Interest
as they were before 1880: the bor-
der of the map shows animals and
objects characteristic of the region.
Mrs. Earl Wyatt of Amarlllo, the
state president of the A. A. u. W.
In Texas, will take the map to Boa-
ton where it will be exhibited dur-
ing the national convention in
April. From there it will be taken
to New York,

his car struck a horse last Thurs-

FORMAL SHOWING OF
SPRING ITEMS
Rehearsal was held last night and
all plana are nearing completion for
the elaborate style revue to be pre-
sented Wednesday evonlng at La
Nora theater under the sponsor-
ship of the Pampa Business and
Professional Women's club.
Mrs. W. C. Mitchell, president,
and the entire group of officer*, as
well as individual members, have
done unusually good work in their
plans for the observance of Na-
tional Business and Professional
Women's week. J
On Thursday evening, practically
every store in the city is to unveil
its windows at 7:30 o'clock and to
display the latest spring stylos. At
the same time a sing-song will be
conducted, and all interested are
invited to take part. A dance will
be given at the Schneider hotel on
the same evening from 9 to 12
o'clock.
The style revue ol Wednesday will
feature Hie latest,, creations in sport
clothes, afternoon frocks, and eve-
ning gowns, as well as styles for
children. Fashions from Paris, New
York, and California will be seen.
A sjieclal showing of men's cloth-
ing will be made.
Stores cooperating in the showing
are Mitchell's, Murfee's, Henney's,
United Dry Goods store, Montgom-
ery-Ward, Violet Shoppe, Diamond
C, French Shoppe, Levine's, Hayter
Mothers, Kees and Thomas, and
Brownbilt Shoo store.
Program Planned
During an intermission, the fol-
lowing program will be given:

Mrs. H. C, Price.
Dance, Miss Roberta Warren's pu-

the Lone Oak high school, where
she was a member or the faculty for
four years after her graduation. She

during the last two years.
Miss Simmons has made an out-
standing record at college. Last
term, she was among the few stu-
dents to make the honor roll in
scholarship at that Institution. She
also Is a prominent debater, her
colleague being Miss Mary Lou
Whitley, daughter of 8. H. Whitley,
president of the college. Among the
colleges and universities with which
the East Texas State Teachers col-
lege will debate this year are Steph-
en F. Austin State Teachers college
