engine, was bought at La Crosse,
Wisconsin, and ferried to Mexia.
The other, which has a 225 horse-
power uiigifoe, was brought here j
from S'prlngfield, Mo., in exchange
for Simpson's Aeronca Chief. This
latter addition to the Mexia plane
squadrofi is" Quipped with instru-
ments for blind flying, and has
a' two-way radio.
Plalis are being made to provide
new storage space for planes quar-
tered here. Pyrt of the hangars at
the local alrpprt are owned by the
City of Mexia, and part have been
construct.ee) .by local airplane en-
thusiasts. One large hangar, two
additions, and two small hangars
are now "located at the airport.
