past two weeks With typhoid fever,
lie was burled Saturday evening at
the Mt. Olive cemetery. We extend
condolence to the bereaved ones.
Ed Hedgepath has returned to his
home in Virginia after spending the
latter part of the winter and spring in
Texas. He decided there wus no place
like home.

Thomas, the widow of the Mosquito
blacksmith who died last week, ap-
peared before the grand Jury today
with her fourteen-yenr-old daughter
in connection witli tiie secret Investi-
gation of the death of the black-

ened break between Governor (>. B.
Colquitt nnd Attorney General B. F.
Dooney was umlcnhly settled today
when Gov. Colquitt called and per-
sonally cxplulned to General Dooney
lust what he said and meant regard-
ing the tiling of the suit against the
Texas Business Men's Association.
The Governor had been quoted us
saying that the suit was filed for po-
litical reasons to Injure the ciindida-
cy of Juines E. Ferguson for Gover-
nor.
The Governor said today that lie Is
glad that I lie snl'. has been tiled, and
that lie would co-operate with Mr.
I.ooney In the prosecution of the suit.
In u recent letter to Attorney Gener-
al Dooney Gov. Colquitt declared that
lie had told Assistant Attorney Gen-
eral Cureton Hint the action would
be looked upon as u political move.
Colquitt also said that lie favored
a similar null against the Antl-Sn-
loon Dengue, If It Is collecting ruiuls
from the corporations.
