Mrs R W Mickey Died Yesterday
Was Buried Today.
Mrs R W llickcv of Verona
died Friday, morning at 0 o'-
clock, and was buried at the Ve-
rona cemetery Saturday at
o'ctock, Rev J L Williams con-
ducting the services. The de-
ceased was u member of the
Methodist church an<l a most ex-
cellent lady. She leaves a hus-
band, several children an.l many
friends to mourn her loss.

showing that for one evening at
least Gibson could well say
•'Hearts are trumps.,' The flow-
ing punch bowl wa presided over
by Master Clifton Doweil. and
proved tho most popular of re-
sorts. At the conclusion of the
game an ice course was served.
Each trophy was closely contested
for. The ladies prize for high
score, a hand painted hat pin,
fell to Miss Ozella Perry. Alfred
Si-ott was successful for the gen
tleman's prize over Mr Byron
Mack of Greenville. Will Lake,
Goodney Graves and Jim Dcwell
captuiing a handsome picture. A
cut-glass ji rfnme bottle was the
consolation offend Misses Mel-
ton, Lovejoy and Velma Scott,
which went in the* rut to Miss
Scott. Messrs Bob Kitching and
Oscar Smith, with only one punch
each, out for the drum decorated
in red ribbons. Mr Smith was
successful and proceeded to
"learn to beat." MUs Dowelt
was assisted in receiving by her
sister Mrs Burnett and Miss Lucy
