The weather was very unfavorable hut
there was quite a crowd at church.
On Saturday night. April 16 there I
will lie a play. "Lighthouse Nan." i
given at the Methodist church for
the purpose of raising money on the '
piano fund. Will also have some,

joy the evening and help in a worthy
cause
On last Friday our ''unning . 'ub
held an interesting meeting We had
with us Mrs. McGee also Mrs Hor-
ton and Mrs. Barnes, clothing spe-
cialists from A. and M College The
forenoon wa> given to the selection
of proper kind of materials that were
suitable tor different kinds of gar-
ments. the proper kind of shoes, etc.
A dress form was then made. At the
noon hour lunch was served and in
the afternoon Mrs. Barnes gave some
valuable lessons on the finishing of
garments, also some fancy stitches.
We had as visitors from New Liberty

tried to live right before his fellow
men. It seems peculiarly unfortunate
that this good man should have been
called to his reward at a time when
he was needed so badly by his family,
and when they so badly wanted hini
to stay. One of the daughters tainted
'yesterday afternoon before the body
was taken to the cemetery. The heart-
felt sympathies of the entire coin- !
munlty go out to these bereaved ones
in their sorrow and distress.
