Rev. John A. Williams, Pastor.
N:xt Monday afternoon at 3.00
o'clock the W. M. S. will meet in cir-
cles for Bible study. All meetings
on Sunday will be at the regular
hours.
The various churchs of the town
are engaged in an effort to in-
crease church attendance. The count
last Sunday was as follows:

METHODIST CHURCH
Rev. Jesse Thomson, Pastor.
We did not reach our 100 mark
ill church attendance at either ser-
vice last Sunday but let us try for
125 this Sunday. If you wvre present
last Sunday bring some one with
you this Sunday, or if you were not
present be sure to bring some one
wfth you this Sunday. There were
just 237 folk present at all the church
services in Rusk last Sunday morning
and at evening just 204. Figure the
per c.nt and see if you are proud
of the record. Church attendance is
a habit and it is easy to get out of
it. The Young People will have a
union meeting at Jacksonville next
Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Church
School 9:45, Epworth League 6:15.
Missionary Society Monday afternoon
at 2:30. Mid-w'.ek service Wednesday
evening at 7 o'clock.
All the officials and members of
the church are entering heartily into
the plans for our revival that is to
start March 24th and last through
April 7th. Rev. Tom Brabbam, presi-
dent of Texas Wowan's college will
be the evangelist. He is a member
of the Central Texas conference and
is one of the outstanding preachers
of the entire church. He nas beeli1
pastor of some of the leading
churches in the Northwest Texas
confv rence and is now making an
rmtcfon''iv">* ?rccc""" r.? president of
Texas Woman's college. Rev. Brab-
bam is well known and loved here in
the community and has previously
held a revival here. Tho services will
be held both morning and evening.
The stewards are urging that all the
members pay up on local budget and
have this out of way before the re-
vival starts. The various organiz-
ations of tho church are asked and
are having special s'.asons of prayer
for the success of these services. The
church and town needs a real revival.
May we call upon you to help in
every way possible. Work and pray
that great god may be accomplished
during these tw0 weeks.

T otal
Certainly that is not an attendance
record to b: proud of. The Baptist
church and the Methodist church each
has a resident membership that sur-
passes the total for the morning at-
tendance. The New Testament says
that Christians are not to forsake the
assembling of themselves togetlf li-
as the manner of some is..
Th. preaching of God's word is
one of the most potent forces for
morality and rci'al righteousness.
God use - the pr: aching of the word
