Three men were sentenced to
serve terms in the penitentiary
yesterday by Judge C. A.
Hodges, judge of the district
court, in session here.
J. B. Ainsworth was sentenced
to serve two years on a charge
of theft by bailee. Jim Holman,
alias "Crack Corn," was senten-
ced to one year in the pen on a
charge of transporting intoxi-
cating liquor. Harrison Ferry-
man was sentenced to serve one
year on a charge of transporting
liquor.
It seems that Ainsworth was I
convicted about the first of the!
criminal docket of the present;
term. He had been working for
A. G. Perry and had moved a
man to Huntington. When the
move was completed the man
who had had the work done paid
When tried he plead guilty to
the charge, and the sentence
was passed yesterday by the
