are well known here and have a
host of friends who wish them

Ed McNeal is here with home
folks; he has been in the U. S.
Navy four years.
Mrs. J. M. Jones of Hastings,
Oklahoma, visited with relatives
here this week.

Most all the farmers around
here are plowing corn the second
time.
Every body is so busy working
there is not much visiting going
on in this part of the world.
Mrs. Ada Clark and little son
of Mustang community spent
Monday with her aunt, Mrs.
Buck Tisdell.
Miss Cecil Owen spent Satur-
day night with her grand parents
Mr. and Mrs. Smith of Pilot
Point.
Mr. Less Beck and family of
Light9 Ranch visited his mother
Mrs. A. M. Beck .
Most every body attended the
decoration at Belew Sunday after
noon. Revs. Holmes and Thorn*
son of Aubrey made some in ter-
esting talks.
The school entertainment at
this place was attended by a lar-
ge crowd. There was not room
for all the people in the house.
Several of the young people from
Celina were present.
J. T. Morris of Lewisville Tex-
as the teacher at this place last
year was at the entertainment
Friday. All his old pupils were
glad to welcome him back to the
old school room once more He
remained with some of his friends
until Sunday morning.
Bro. Tir.cher filled his regular
appointment here Sunday.
There will be regular church
conference Saturday night. All
the memberd come and help

We are having fine weather
for growing crops.
Several are chopping cotton
this week, also some still plant-
ing.
A large crowd attended the
cemetery working at Indian
creek Saturday. The yard looka
much improved since we have
a new hog fence around it.
Several of the W. O. W. atten-
ded the lodge at Tioga Satur-
day night.
An unusual large crowd atten-
ded singing Sunday night at Mr.
Rowlings.
Those attending out of the
commnuity were—Noah Gooch,
Willie Wooten, Frank Porter and
sister Miss Dellia, all of near
Bloomfield.
Oswal Gordon made a flying
trip to Howe Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson
of Liberty Hill spent Saturday
night with J. W. Steels and fam-
ily.
Furman Steele aud wife of Oak
Dale visited Mr. and Mrs Will
Cassel Sunday.
Mr, Adams is at Tioga this
week taking treatment.
We understand that Chas.
Massey has been bothered con-
siderably since Sunday with a
bery serious pain in his fore-
head.
R. P. Hall and Burl Gillmore
went to Gainesville Tuesday.
J. W. Steele was out taking the
school census Tuesday.
Cotton choppers will be in de-
mand about next week for hands
are a pertty scarce article in this
part of the cross timbers.
July 22 is the main topic of
discussion, some hoping it will
rain that day.
Edgar Steele made a business
trip to Gainesville Monday.
