Mason street turned up for 4 or G
blocks there wd drovo up in front
of a beautiful home where wife's
aunt lived we made ourselves known
although a surprise to them we were
received with thei most cordial wel-
come. It was about 3 o'clock in the
afternoon. We took a good rest until
next morning then they drove uo
through Camp Travis which covered
about 5000 acre of land and was
quite a sight to us. I can't describe it
in this letter but you can imagine
everything you can and then you
wont be started on it. They drove us
from the camp to Breckenridge park
where we saw everything from a rat
to a tebra every kind of a fowl up to
the ostrich and he was some bird as
tall as I am.
Resuming our trip we crossed the
river at Oakville about noon aimed
to stop and eat dnner it waB the
4th or July and the boys and girls
were all in the water and laying
around under the shade trees with
their bathing suits on. but wif said
that didn't look like Scurry county
people to her dressed that way so
she prevailed on us to go on. We ran
