Students study South
David Curry
Special to The Rambler
So it's the night before that big final, and some-
how you've once again managed to do
everything but study. You know you're going to
be up all night cramming all that information in the
mass above your shoulders, but you just can't concen-
trate at your house or in the dorms. So you think,
"Where can I go?"
Well, there just happens to be a place that caters
to such needs. It's a little ol" place just off Interstate
30 on University Drive called 01' South Pancake
House.
For years students from surrounding schools have
made 01* South a study haven, and for good reason.
The staff at 01' South understand the needs of stu-
dents and have modified the establishment to
accomadate these needs.
The diningroom (smoking and non-smoking sec-
tions available) is well lit and easy on the eyes when
you are reading. Also, they have specific tables set
aside as 'study booths' so there is no need for you to
feel rushed.
The best thing about 01' Souh, however, is the
menu. For-a little over $5' you can have a filling meal
and a cup of coffee (free refills on coffee as long as
you're there) so you can quiet your stomach and get
some caffeine in you to stay awake.
If you're going to eat, I recommend any of their
various breakfasts., Each breakfast order comes with
your choice of a side entree, but go with the pancakes:
it's what they do and a stack of three buttermilk pan-
cakes tops off any meal just right.-
So when you're prepping lor that crisis final and
you're needing an escape, remember 01' South
Pancake House located at 1507 University in Fort
Worth.
