ENJOYS THE MONITOR
Miss Bertha Phillips, daughter
of Rev. W. R. Phillips, writes from
far away Arizona that she certain-
ly does appreciate the weekly visits
of The Monitor. Miss Bertha is
one of our good friends who is
making good in the business world.
After firnishing her high school
course here she attended Tyler
Commercial College and made a
record there, she completed the
course in a shorter time than oth-
er students taking the same,
course. Immediately upon complet-
ing her course she was offered
and accepted a position with a
large lumber company in Arizona
and notwithstanding the fact that
she has only been with the com-
pany three months she has just
received promotion with 25 per
cent increase in salary. The Moni-
tor with her many friends here,
is proud of the record she is
making.
