XJDEFEAT IN WILLS POINT
Hie line-up for the first hafe'
in Mineola's team in Wilis
Point Friday night was: Zel-
ma Bartlett, Agness Tomlin,
forwards; Lottie M. Hudgins,
Cliffie T, McCuire guards;
Flora Stewarts, Ruth Campbell
centers. The score at that
time was 24 and 2 for Wills
Point.
In the third quarter a change
' ;.wfas made; Lorraine Carroll
was substituted for Agnes Tom
lin as forward, and the former
forward was made a guard.
Cliffie McCrudre was changed
from a guard to center. The
third quarter came, and Flora
Stewart became a guard; Wills
Point decreased in scores; Ag-
nes Tomlin "vMas again moved
to center and the game closed
with Zelma Bartlett, and Agnes
Tomlin's two goals, making the
score 24 and 2.

SATURDAY NIGHT

both basket ball teams of M.
H. S., boys and girls, are
scheduled for a double header
at the Golden Gymnasium Sat-
urday night. The first game
will be between the Quitman
«nd Mineola girls The feature
game of the evening, however,
will be that between the Minola
Mineola Yellow Jackets and
the Alba High School cagers,
last years countv champions.

SULPHITR SPRINGS
DEFEATS MINEOLA
Last Friday might at the
defeated the Yellow Jackets by

as the two teams were tied 16
to 16 at the end of the game,
and it Was only after a hard
fight that the Yellow Jackets
were downed.
This was one of the fastest
and hardest fought games the

this year. Prickett was high
point man for Mineola.

THE CURTAIN CLUB
The executive committee of
the Interscholastic League met
Friday January 6, at Quitman
and it was decided that the
County basket ball tournament
for both Class A and B schools
would be held in Golden Feb-
ruary 10 and 11. The winners
will play for the county champ-
ionship Saturday night. Feb-
ruary 11. Mineola and Winns
boro are the only class A
schools in the county.
The Golden School Board is
offering a full size silver basket
ball for the championship and
a minature silver statue of
a basketball player for second
place.
The time and place of the
county meet will be set by the
committee at their next meet-
At last the Dramatic club
has adopted a name "The Cur-
tain Club" and a motto "All
the world is a stage, and men
and women are players on it."
The Dramatic Club met Jan.
5. and an interesting program
was rendered. All of the pro-
gram was not given, however,
because of the lack of time, but
those numbers that were not
given last meeting will be giv-
en on the next meeting day.

FOOD CLASS ENTERTAIN
FACULTY FRIDAY
At four o'clock Friday Jan-
uary, 6, the teachers of J the1
high school were guests of the
foods class at a tea in hoom
seven.
The hostesses were Bonnie
Jean Mc Guire and Dorothy
Fowler and the four friends
were Florence Padgett, Zelma
Barlett, Maurine Clark and
Mary Elizabeth
Every teacher was present
and enjoyed the entertainment
immensely so they say.
The tea consisted of: Tuna
fish sandwiches, date and nut
sandwiches^ cake, candy, and
hot tea. All prepared by the
home economics girls.
Mr. Nesbitt and Mr. Copass
say that they really believe
that room seven was intended
for a dining room
