Explorers said purpose of the
meeting is to acquaint the par-
ents with the Explorer program,
gain their support and backing
in Explorer activities and par-

Mrs Bert Black, president of
Texas Baptist' Woman's Mission-
ary Union and a resident of Cros-
byton, was re-elected last Thur-
day to the board of trustees of
Wayland Baptist College during

system to build up the attend

Christmas Mailing
Suggestions Made by
Acting Post Master
Acting Postmaster J. M. Har
kins points out that the time be-
fore Christmas is already becom-
ing short, actually amounting to
only 40 days. He makes these
suggestions:
Nov. 1-20 has been designated
as Christmas mailing time for
packages going overseas by boat
to Armed Forces. Airmail pack-
ages should be mailed Dec. 1-10
Christmas cards should be mail-
ed during the same periods.
Packages to .distant states
should be mailed before or dur-
ing the week of December 2-7 to
insure delivery before Christ-
mas Gift packages for local or
nearby delivery should be mailed
no later than December 14.
