New Yckk December li'.l.-The Tost
in its financial article says the excite
ment of yesterday caused by the sub-
pension of Netter & Co. aud by the
fear that collaterals from them were
not safe has passed away since it has
been ascertained that the collaterals
could be obtained by taking up the
loans made to Nttter & Co. on them.
Nearly all these collaterals have been
covered. The amount of loans to which
Netter & Co. were a party wus three
million dollars. As we learn at their
ottlce the collaterals on these will all
have been obtained at a cost to the
owuers of the collateral of from 1150'

will be responsible. The Arm have

There have always beeu opposite par
ties In politics and religion though the
the measures fought over one day may
be universally adopted at another and
those sacrificed regarded as heroea and
martyrs. Medicine bas always been
subject to revolutionary disturbances.
When urs. iiarvey aud Jeuncr an-
nounced their discoveries they were
held in contempt and ridicule by an in-
credulous aud ignorant public yet to-
day they are received and honored by
all as benefactor. When Dr. Pierce
announced his IHwnvrry many seem-

proof of merit has dispelled all doubt
aud to-day the Golden Medical Dis-
