My Dear Son

As it has rain
-ed everyday for the last three I
am thinking seriously of
leaving here just as soon
as you can send me the
necessary funds – As con-
tinued rains produces sickness
here (so I am informed ) I will
need about $10.00 dollars
more – Register, or send
by express - I send this
by Mrs. Goodnight. I would
like so much to be here
when Sallie comes that is
if these continued rains
do not stop her. As every
one knows it is useless to
stay in rainy weather
