The Leatherwood grade schooj
came to Crosbyton last Friday to
play a baseball game. The Crosbyton
grade school was victorious, 47-17.

Three-fourths cup Karo, %-cup su-
gar, 3 eggs, 1 tablespoon vinegar,
1 teaspoon vanilla, 3 tablespoons but-;
ter, % cups pecans.
Mix sugar and Karo, add slightly
beaten eggs, vinegar, melted butter,
vanilla and nuts. Pour in. unbaked
pie crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 10
minutes (quick oven), then 350 de-
grees (slow) until filling is firm.

Miss Louise Curry entertained with
a preview luncheon for four girls at
her home on Emerald Avenue Sat-
urday evening.
A color scheme of pink and green
was used In the table appointments,
which was laid with a green linen
cloth. The, table was centered with
pink cycleman and pink candles, in
silver candle sticks burned on either
end of the table.
Chicken salad on a lettuce leaf,
with smacks; stuffed. olives, pickles,
potato chips, pecan pie and TioT ElK
coa were served by the hostels.

showing of Joan Crawford in "J
Live My Life," at the Queen Theatre
Guests were Misses Mauline Col-
lier, La Freda Benton, Joan Lamb
