a luncheon in the home of Mrs.
William L. Hartrick. Co-hostess
for the luncheon was Mrs.
Charles L. Donovan.
A surprise baby shower for
Mrs. Serafin G. Mactagone
Mrs. Norman F. Hughes and
Mrs. Robert C. Caldwell was
combined with the lucheon.
A brief business meeting was
held after the luncheon in which
Mrs. Paul S. William Jr.
welcomed newcomers to the
group and plans were made for
the year's activities.
New committee chairman
were announced: Mrs. Charles
C. Carr is the new treasurer
Mrs. Roger Schemenaur and
Mrs. Donovan are the new
hospitality chairmen the new
publicity chairman is Mrs. Jack
G. Park.
Reservations committee for
the group's "Roaring 20s" booth
is made up of Mrs. Hartrick
and Mrs. Emanuel L. Williams.

held a formal dinner at the Ft.
Hood Officers' Open Mess on
the evening of Sept. 23.
After the cocktail hour the
bugler sounded "attention" and

The members of the NCO
Wives' Club had a coffee on
Thursday Sept. 30 at the main
NCO Club.
The coffee was held in honor
of Mrs .Ray Martin wife of

Martin came to Ft. Hood from
Ft. Myer Virginia.
They have two children
Deborah (16 years old) and Jeff
(15 years old).
Red Cross
A Red Cross Basic Training
Course will be conducted at the
Ft. Hood Field Office on Oct.
13 14 and 15.
Classes will be held from 9:30-
11:30 a.m. and then from noon
to 2:00 p.m.
The classes will be limited
to the first 20 people to enroll.
There is no charge for the
course.
Those interested may contact

Cub Scout Pack 211
Pack 211 marched in the
downtown Killeen fire preven
tion parade Oct. 4.
Some of the boys carried ban
ners which encouraged people
to practice fire safety. Other
pack members carried banners
for the Central Texas Scouting
Recruiting Program.
Pack 211 is the largest Cub
Scout group in Fort Hood. It
has 71 members.
The pack is building a float
for the Veterans Day Parade
which will be held in Copperas
Cove Oct. 25. The theme of the
float is "Lest We Forget."
Pack members plan to attend
the Bar-b-Cue in the shopping
center before marching in the
parade.

of 90.
Other questions are: Did you
accrue more than 30 days AWOL
while on last period of active
duty? Did you receive two or
more convictions by military
courts-martial? Did you make
less than 70 on your MOS
evaluation test administered to
the closest date of last separa
tion? Were you denied re-enlist-
ment at the time of your last
separation from active military
service under the qualitative
screening process?
Of course this is not all of
the qualifications for re-enlisting
from civilian life but it will
give you an idea of some of
the information needed to ren-
enlist.
Also if^you take that
discharge ytiu can not ren-enlist
at your last duty station or
another fort. You must re-enlist
at a recruiting center located
of Mead-
were in
counselor and get further in
formation on how to re-enlist
from civilian life. It might mean
the difference of fulfilling those
goals in your future.

Chaplain Retires
After 30 Years
Chaplain (Lt. Col.) James H.
Robertson former assistant
division chaplain for the 2nd
Armd Div. retired from active
duty last week after 30 years
of service with the Army.
Robertson first came to Ft.
Hood in October 1969 and is
