The most enthusiastically receiv
ed numbers of the hour and one
half program were "Gaudeamus
Igitur" "There's Nothing Like A
Dame." Fred Waring arrangement
of "Battle Hymn of the Republic"
and "You'll Niver Walk Alone."
Sixteen numbers were presented
by the chorus. Solos were render

Girl Scout News
The celebration of the birthday
of Juliette Low the founder of
Girl Scouts in this country will
be held at the Girl Scout House
this Saturday Oct. 31 from 1 p.m.
to 3 o'clock. The party will take
place on the patio back of the
house and will be the occasion for
the dedication of the new patio
and grill where a fire will be
made by the girl scouts and
Brownie Troops. Each troop must
present a faggot to be laid on the
fire. Troop 15 will be in charge of
the fire laying with Mrs. A. W.
Gomel to supervise the
monies. The fire will be lit by Kay
Oglesby and Judy Hinkle.
Mrs. Jack White is chairman of
the party and has designated var
ious troops to help with the decora
tions provide refreshments and
act as hostesses. Each troop will
provide two girls for color guards
who will change with an alter
nate every fifteen minutes. Each
Brownie Troop will furnish two
girls to help the hostesses.
