PFC Ortiz is going home after
21 months in the Army.
M-Sgt. Swinny of the WAC Det
gave the company an I&E talk on
women in the Armed Forces.
Cpl. Earl B. Smith was assigned
to H&S Co.

Cpl. Cook is to be transferred
to the 4005th Separation Center for
discharge. PFC Gervais will fill the
vacancy in commo.
Pvt. Chilistrom and Cpl. Hansen
have returned from the NCO Aca
demy recently where they attend
ed the mechanics' course for a five
week period.
SFC Thompson has returned to
duty from the hospital.

Twin Trouble
SEEING DOUBLE is common now-a-days in the life of M-Sgt.
Jack D. Ford 1st sergeant of Co. C 634th AIB. However there
is no need for an optometrist the cause of it being two sets of
twins in the company—Pvts. George T. and Tommie J. Dickens and
Pvts. Coy R. and Roy M. Land. In civilian life the twins live less
than five miles apart the Land twins living in Lone Oak Tex. and
the Dickens twins living in Sulphur Springs Tex. (CCB—PIO).

their two weeks of bivouac in the
field. The men are now well ac
quainted with the ways of a sol
dier in the field.
The most exciting incident tha
took place during the two weeks
was the killing of seven snakes.

SELECTIVE SERVICE CALLS
53000 FOR ARMY IN MAY
JVASHINGTON (AFPS) The
Army has announced that it will
induct 53000 men in May bringing
the total to 1414430 personnel call
ed for Selective Service since the
beginning of Korean hostilities.
The Department of Defense re
ported than further inductions will
continue at this rate through July

Back from leaves last week were
Cpl. Dale E. Greenamoyer from
Pennsylvania Sgt. David G. Irick
from his home town in Texas Cpl.
Wayne G. Wascom from the Peli
can State and Cpl. Bobby
Slaughter from the Sunshine State
Cpl. Jesse B. Collum left for
Houston on a 10-day leave last week
and Cpl. Burl Benge on a six day
leave to visit his folks in the Pan
handle.
We lost our first sergeant and
mess sergeant M-Sgt. Alfredo
Sanchez and SFC Forby W. Good
win respectively. They are being
transferred to the 4005th ASU for
separation. Stepping into their jobs
are M-Sgt. Calvin R. Hemphill and
Sgt. Loss C. Williams.
PFC Robert P. Conway went to
the 4121st Food Service School last
week as PFC Howard L. Johnson
got out.
PFC Ferrel H. Williams went to
the NCO Academy to attend the
unit supply course.

Our supply room is being re
modeled. The person primarily re
sponsible for the work in progress
is Corporal Clayborne.
PFC Johnnie P. Defelice was re
leased from the hospital to return
to the radio course at the NCO
because of a high rate of discharg
