Mrs. James E. Hooker pins Captain's bars on her
husband as Col. John L. Inskeep, Wolters commander
looks on. Capt. Hooker was notified of his promotion
at a surprise ceremony held in the CO's office Monday
afternoon, April 13. Also present at the ceremony were
Bruce Wayne Hooker, the Hookerb six month son; Maj.
John L. Briggs, Asst. Commandant, USAPHS; Maj. John
H. Moerls, chief of operations and tactics, USAPHS;
Maj. Leland H. Willard, asst. chief of operations and
tactics, USAPHS; and Capt. James D. Keirn, instrument
examiner and fixed-wing operations officer, USAPHS.
Capt. Hooker is a training officer at the primary
helicopter school.
