Obituary
Walter David Wilkerson, Jr. came unto this earth July 19, 1952
and entered rest on July 1, 1995.
Walter attended public schools and received a general educa-
tion from Dunbar and Wheatley. He received a certificate in
plumbing from Our Lady Of The Lake. He was united with St.
Luke Baptist Church at an early age. He transferred his member-
ship to Lilly of the Valley Baptist Church. He lead a full and active
life until the time of his time death.
He was the first child born to Walter David Wilkerson, Sr. and
Estelle Spencer Wilkerson, both parents and one son, Ebony Ali
Wilson preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Zakia; four sons,
Walter III, Charles, M'Tume and Ebony; one daughter in law,
Latoya; two sisters, Teresa and Patricia; four brothers, Harry,
Earl, Arthur and Keith; two sisters in law, Dorothy and Valencia;
two grandchildren, five nieces, five nephews and a host of
relatives and friends. Also three very special people, Wanda
Washington, Rose Mitchell and Ava June Hamilton.
God picked another flower for his eternal bouquet. We loved
him but God loved him best. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Sij,
Order of Service
God Saw You
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms
around you and whispered, come to me
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
And though we loved you dearly,
we would not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only Takes the Best.
