Olive Beatrice Stone was born to Mr.-and Mrs. Ed Mitchell,
November 11,1915 in Covington, Tennessee. She attended school
in Dayton, Ohio. She accepted Christ at an early age. Her parents
and one God daughter, Sharon Ruth Jackson, preceded her in death.
She attended college at Wilbur Force College in Dayton, Ohio.
Olive was united in holy matrimony to Clarence Stone in 1957.
No children were born to this union.
Mrs. Stone retired from Kelly AFB in 1979 after 30 years of
Civil Service. She was a devoted member of the Calvary Baptist
Church for 3 8years, a member of Alamo Temple #8711.B.P.O.E.
of W (bnproved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the
World).
Olive reached the highest office in ELKDON, Past Grand Daughter
Ruler which she received in New Orleans, LA in 1971. She was
entered into the Elks Hall of Fame of Texas in June 1998, Secretary
of the State Treasure for many years, also District Deputy.
Olive was a member of Electa Chapter #1492 OES (Order of
Eastern Star), and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her best fiend and husband
Clarence Stone of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law, Leroy Stone,
Sr. of San Antonio, TX; four god daughters - Retha Montgomery of
Corpus Christi, TX, Johnnie M. Sattiewhite of San Antonio, TX,
Betty J. Lloyd of Longview, TX, and Margaret Sattiewhite of San
Antonio, TX; two nieces - Emma E. Coleman and husband Riley of
Nashville, TN, and Kathleen G. Gaines and husband Roderick of
San Antonio, TX; three nephews - Charles Lee Stone of San Antonio,
TX Mar-tin Louis Stone and wife Laverne of Kent, WA and Leroy
Stone, Jr. and wife Lisa of San Antonio, TX; a pledge sister - G.
Evelyn Williams of Dallas, TX, and a host of other relatives and
friends.
