Mrss. Vera Smith, daughter of the late Joe Lampkins
and Mrs.. idella Lampkins, was born in Luling, Texas,
where shc2 attended the High School.

.' On moving to San Antonio, she joined Jimmanuel
(1 E. Church and served faithfully until her death.
•She was married to Charlie Jones who preceded
her ill death.
On June 19, 1953^ she and Leon Smith were married,
Mrs, Smith passed away on April 8, 1965 at
12:1|5 3,. M. Surviving are her husband, Leon Smith;
son, C^aud-H. Marshall, Jr.; mother, Mrs. Idella
Lamp kin of Luling, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Mary Miles,
Lulinfe, Idessa Chase, Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs.
Thelmii Jones, Seguin, Texas, Mrs. Annie L. Jennings,
Lock^qart, Texas; brother, Tyree Lampkins, Luling,
Texa^s two grandchildren, 'daughter-in-law and a host
of reHatives and friends.
