OBITUARY
Albert H. Phillips was born in Montgomery, AL on
September 25, 1918, the only child of Victor and
Cornelious Harris The family moved to Birmingham
when he was very young
He attended the public schools in Birmingham. After
graduating from Parker Industrial High School, he
married Josephine McCall and into this union three
children were born, Albert Jr., who has preceded him
in death, Jacqueline and Raynold.
His favorite interests were baseball, singing, and
dancing He taught Albert Jr. how to tap dance and
they entertained audiences around town. His mother
did not like the idea, so he and a good friend developed
a routine and went on the road with a traveling
entertainment company He said while visiting San
Antonio he fell in love with the city and started a new
chapter in his life story.
He came home to see us in 1981 and to gather
information for his retirement.
He worked for radio station KCOR and retired from
Schlitz Brewing Company after years of service.
He leaves to mourn a son, Raynold (Betty) Phillips of
Chicago, IL, a daughter, Jacqueline (Ed) Robertson of
Birmingham, AL, seven grandchildren, seven great-
grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, and a
host of friends
