Obituary
Josie Freeman was born June 30, 1923 in Gonzales,
Texas to the union of Burton Freeman and
Josephine Smith. The third of five daughters, she
confessed to Christ at an early age.
She moved to San Antonio, Texas while she was very
young and became employed with the San Antonio
Independent School District as a cafeteria worker.
She was a faithful member at Mount Sinai Baptist
Church until her health started failing. She was also a
member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a
loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grand-
mother, and great-great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents; her
daughter, JoAnne Huff; and her 3 sisters, Lula Mae
Jones, Thelma Redd and Francis Myers.
She leaves to cherish her memories her 2 sons:
Mohammed Sharif, and Donald Fiillyer, grandchil-
dren, Constance "Mishon" (Rodney) Huff, Jesus
(Wendy) Wilkins, Shalica Hillyer, Denic Hillyer, Leo
Charles Hillyer, Abdu Sharif, and Takeisha Hillyer,
sister, Bertha Wallace of San Antonio, Texas; along
with a host of great grandchildren, great-great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, spe-
cial friends and extended family
