Brother Edgar Francis was born September 23, 1905 in
Seguin, Guadalupe County, to Mr. Frank Francis Sr., and Mrs.
Ida Sheffield Francis. He received his education in the public
schools of Guadalupe County.
Edgar Francis was baptized in 1917 under the leadership
of Rev. W. I. Rector Sr., later in years under the leadership of
Rev. Rufus Wilson; he joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church
in the year 1945—Rev. S. E. Steward.
Mr. Francis was united in Holy Matrimony with Miss
Martha Anthony, on March 10, 1929. To this union three chil-
dren was born.
He leaves to mourn his wife Mrs. Martha Francis, two
daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ella Robinson, Mrs. Beatrice Allen, of
San Antonio, Texas, one son Floyd E. Francis of San Antonio,
Texas; four grandchildren, Freddie Mosley Jr., Edgar Allen Jr.,
Kelvin Francis, Terry Francis; five sisters Mrs. Lela Bonds,
Mrs. Ester Bell, Mrs. Irene Dixon, Mrs. Gladys Brooks, Mrs.
Tenola Clack; three brothers Mr. Arelius Francis, Houston,
Texas, Mr. Robert Francis, San Antonio, Texas, Rev. Marcellas
Francis, Corpus Christi.
