Dear papa and mama,*
We had a special service at Everett last
night and it was fine, I had Ross Snyder, of
S.RE. who is taking the courses in Religious
Art and Hymnology, to go out and interpret
"O Jesus, Thou Art Standing" along with Hunt's
picture, The Light of the World" which fit into
each other perfectly. We sang the song, and
then with lights out we threw the picture on
the screen tith a lantern. Ross did a fine
job of it, and everybody enjoyed it immensely.
Ross Snyder is a Presbyterian boy from
Ohio, and is one of my favorite friends in the
building. I think ne is going to be a minister
finally and I am encouraging nim in that
ambition for he will make a fine speaker and
has the fine spirit of a leader. All these
Presbyterian students are fine. They are all
of the Northern church except miss Persinger
of Virginia and myself,
Last Monday, after attending the Presbyteri.
an Ministers meeting in tne C.3. Building, I
took the train to Lowel for a visit witn tne
)odd's. The next morning Steve and I went in
his Dodge Sedan to White River, Vt., about 150
miles northwest. iteve stopped in various
towns on the way to attend to regular salesman
duties and I had time in each place to get
acquainted with different places in New Hampshire
The roads were almost too dangerous to drive
over with a car and people thought we were luny
for going that way. We overtook two overturned
cars, not serious s aIccl4et but they might have
been. In white River we want snow-snoeing in
weather 10ldegrees below zero. Our trip back
was in gradually lowering temperature, but we
nad the wind to our backs and it wasn't so baid.
