I have heard any number of people who had
bemfi in Boston say that it was cold hearted.
I have found it otherwise. Perhaps it is the
natural thing that I should find it friendly
since this eShool is saturated with the spirit
of Christ. The finest spirit of humble defference
shown me on every side as if a Texas
man might be just about as good as a Bostonian.
Dr Brooks, pastor of the Everett church is
lovely to me and though he is the author of
several books of real value, and teaches in
Boston University, he treats me like an equal
in every way.
Two business dealings show this same fine
spirit. Saturday I got notice that a box of
books had arrived by steamer from Norfolk. I
went ot Arstvong Tranfer Co. to get the books
hauled from the docks, paid them freight and
,transfer
