The Texas Education Agency adopts an
amendment to 97.115, without changes
to the proposed text published in the De-
cember 13, 1985, issue of the Texas Reg-
ister (10 TexReg 4783).
Subchapter D is renamed "Additional Ac-
creditation Regulations." The title of
97.115 is changed from "Description of
Content in Secondary Grades" to "Com-
petitive Athletics Durinp the School Day:'
and all subsections which do not address
athletics during the school day have been
deleted.
The description of course content for
secondary grades is not found in Chapter
75, Curriculum. As amended, 97.115 re-
quires schools to limit individual students
to one period during the regularly sche-
duled school day for practice of inter-
school competitive athletics and for pro-
grams in which body conditioning, train-
ing, or team sport activities are the objec-
tives of the teacher and students.
No comments were recleved regarding
