Negro Lynched In Alabama
Birmingham, Ala., April 2('.—
A negro has been lynched at
Parkwood, twelve miles south of
Birmingham, for an assault com-
mitted on Mrs. Pattershn this
afternoon. —Dallas News;
Now that's exactly why we
should keep Crosby County
white.
Summing It Up
Those who favor direct nomi-
nations and those who oppose are
moved by definite principles easi-
ly understood. Such nominations
are favored because:
1. They m&kp the participation
of the generahpublic in politics
easy instead of difficult.
2. They cause public , servants
to be more often Responsive to
general opinion and less often
subservient to bosses and to
special money interests.
