to assist taxpayers to calculate
this tax at a glance. This Table,
shown below, may he used when
deducting sales tax on Form 1040.
If the Table is not used, sales tax
deductions must be itemized and
substantiated
Under the Revenue Act of 1964,
the following State taxes are NOT
deductible: cigarette, tobacco and
liquor taxes; license plates,
driver's licenses and poll taxes.
