Mrs Hettie Su Tribble was
born m December 1875 near
Murf reesboro. T e n n s s e e, the
daughter of a Baptist minister,
Jams Patterson and -Mrs. Pat-
terson.
She and W. F. Tribble were
married in 1898 and the follow-
ing year they came to Texas and
settled on a farm near Mesquite
i.! Dallas County. They came to
Bastrop County in 1899. They
owned all of the land where the
new Addition is now located.
Their home is now the errell
Smith home on Cedar Street.
Teen Tower Sets
Valentine Dance

So are you" dance is scheduled
at Teen Tower Saturduy night,
February 11, at 8 p. m.
The Teens admittance fee will
be 25 cent- and valentines to be
placed in the "Sweet Exchange
Box" for your favorite people.
There will be a drawing during
the evening and the high spot
of the dance will be the crown-
ing of the King and Queen of
Teen Tower.
Phylis Zegub will serve as
chairman for the dance.
Pong Tournament
Scheduled
Wednesday night, February 15,
at 6:30 p. m. the Junior Division
of Teen Tower will have a Ping
Pong Tournament. Official rules
will be followed and champion
trophic.- awarded to the winners.
Referee for the tournament
will he Mrs. J. V. Ash Jr., Bob-
by Jenkins, Tracy Chalmers,
Richard Kesselus, Bob Long and
John Ash.
Spectators are welcome. Ten
cents is the admitt.iance fee.

of Representatives of the 57th
; Texas Legislature.
Representative Pieratt was
also named as a member of the
following committees: Agricul-
ture, Congressional and legisla-
tive Districts, Revenue and Tax
ation, State Affairs.
"Representative Pieratt will oc-
cupy a position of reponsibility
and leadership during this ses-
sion," Speaker Turman said. "As
Chairman of one of the most
important committees and as a
member of -everal others, he will
curry a heavy burden of work
and will exert a vital influence
on legislative policy. I know he
will conduct himself in a man
ner that will reflect credit on
himself and will benefit the
people of Texas."
