Pete Griesenbeck tells of an
experience at his home with a big
rooster. His little 18 month child
was out in the yard, falling to the
ground. No sooner had it fallen
than the rooster attacked it, spur-
ing the child on the head, neck
and back, the child giving a scream
the mother rushed to its assistance,
when the rooster ceased its at-
tacks upon the child and vigorous-
ly attacked the mother. The child
was so badly injured a physician
had to be called in, who first fear-
ed blood poison, but it is now be-
lieved the timely • medical atten-
tion given, will prevent such a
turn.

KEEP BODY IN
GOOD PHYSICAL
CONDITION
AUSTIN, Texas.—"Keep your
body in good physical condition,"
advised Dr. Geo. W. Cox, State
Health Officer. While colds, in-
fluenza, and pneumonia are differ-
ent conditions, all three may be
brought on or made worse by
lowered bodily resistance, and all
three may often be prevented in
the same ways."
"When these communicable <1.
seases are prevalent, avoid crowds
as much as possible and plan your
work and recreation so thai you
will not overtax your strength and
get tired out. Be sure that the
room where you are is always well
ventilated. Drink plenty of water
and don't let your system get
clogged.
Sufficient rest, cleanliness of
hands, mouth and teeth, fresh afr
while at work and during sleep,
regulation of meals and bodily
functions, wholesome food and
freedom from anxiety will increase
bodily resistance and help avoid
contracting these diseases.
One attack of cold or influenza
does not confer immunity. Indivi-
duals have been known to have
several attacks during an epidemic.
Segregation of the patient is de-
sirable to avoid giving the dis-
ease to others.

At right, Dr. Edwir Trcbel is shown X-raying a patient.
These X-rays reveal the specific spinal subluxation causing
nerve interference, and make possible an eventual correction
by adjustments made in accordance with the findings.
The Following Cases Are Taken From Our Files. These Are
Actual Cases Which Are Examples Of The Wide Scope Of Chiropractic.
Case No. 53:
HEADACHES
This woman, age 39, came to
our clinic complaining of severe
headaches that were accompan-
ied by dizzy spells. The pains
would start at the back of the
head and go over the top. They
had been occurring for the last
20 years about once a week and
would last about two days. She
also complained of a nagging
pain between the shoulder blades
and a constant pain in the leti
hip. Our Chiropractic spinal ex-
amination revealed a misplaced
vertebra in her neck that was
causing an interference with the
normal flow of nerve energy
with the resulting symptoms.
Chiropractic corrective adjust-
ments were begun, releasing the
vital nerve energy, after which
all symptoms ceased and did
not return.
Case No. 22:
DIZZY SPELLS
This man, age 67, came to ou,
clinic with several complaints,
the major one being severe
spells of dizziness that kept
him in bed at times. He also
said it was very difficult for
him to swallow his food as his
throat felt as if there were an
obstruction in it. He had had
this trouble for several months,
was also very nervous, had a
history of chronic constipation,
and had pains in the right hip
and le,T. X-rays and Neurocalo-
meter readings revealed that he
had a bone out of position which
was causing pressure on tin
spinal cord; this was affecting
many nerves supplying different
parts of the body. This bone
was set back into position and
the pressure on the spinal cord
was released. In a short timo
the patient reported that he
was having no dizzy spells at
all and four months later he
still was free of this trouble.
Also, the choking feeling ha I
stopped and he felt much better
than he had in a long time.
Case No. 83:
SLEEPLESSNESS
A woman, age 40, came to
our clinic having suffered for
a long time from extreme ner-
vousness, gas and bloating, con.
stipation, weak kidneys, and
spots before the eyes. Rut her
main complaint was that slit-
was unable to sleep well at all.
As a result, she was feeling
jittery and generally unwell.
Our Chiropractic spinal analy-
sis located the cause of her trou-
ble. Adjustments to correct the
cause were begun, and this wo-
man soon began to show rapid
improvement. Today she re-
ports that the above complaints
have disappeared.
Case No. 17:
SHOULDER PAIN
This 21 year old ex-service-
man had fallen off the top of
a jeep a year before coming to
our clinic, and had been suffer-
ing from a constant pain in the
left side which centered under
the left shoulder blade. When
admitted to the clinc it had l.een
getting steadily worse for two
weeks.
Our Neurocalometer and X-
ray analysis located a sublux-
ated (Misaligned) vertebra as
the cause of the trouble. Scienti-
fic Chiropractic adjustments
corrected this misalignment,
thereby relieving the pressure
on the spinal cord which it was
causing. This man is now free
of this pain and his general
health has greatly improved.
Case No. 19:
BACK PAINS
This .".0 year old man came tt>
our clinic complaining of bad
low back pains which extended
out over the right hip bone. His
appetite was very poor, especi-
ally in the morning, and in the
winter he had been troubled with
rheumatism in the legs and
knees.
Our Chiropractic spinal analy-
sis located the cause of his trou-
ble, which X-rays showed to be
a subluxated (Misaligned) ver-
tebra, which was causing a
pressure on the spinal cord at
the base of the skull. Corrective
adjustments were begun ,and
after a period of time the pati-
ent reported that his back pains
had disappeared, he had had
no more attacks of rheumatism,
and bis general health was fine
Cafe No. 2:
KIDNEY PAINS
This woman, age 54, com-
plained of severe pain and son
ntss in the left kidney area,
which she had had for the last
10 or 12 years, and which was
getting steadily worse. She was
not able to milk a cow because
her hands would get so weak,
and she was very nervous, eas-
ily tiled and "all in."
Our Neurocalometer and spin,
al X-ray analysis revealed the
cause of her troubles to be a
subluxated (misaligned) neck
vertebra iwhich was .causing
pressure on the spinal nerves.
Scientific Chiropractic correct-
ive adjustments restored align-
ment, released the pressure on
the nerves, and now this woman
reports that all of her symp-
toms are gone and she feels
better than ever. She is able
to milk without any difficulty.
Case No. 102:
NERVOUSNESS
This woman, age 4£), came
to our clinic reporting that she
was suffering from low back
pains which were especially sev-
ere when she lay down. She had
a tender gall bladder, sour stom-
ach, and suffered from dizzy
spells and weakness. But her
chief complaint was extreme
nervousness. Any noise, even
talking, bothered her extremely.
This had been troubling her for
two years.
Our Chiropractic spinal analy-
sis revealed the cause of her
trouble, a subluxated (misalign-
ed) neck vertebra, which was
causing a pressure upon vital
nerves. Corrective adjustments
were commenced, and today this
woman reports that the above
complaints have disappeared,
and that she feels quite well.
