Their power over the above diseases is not ex-
celled, if equalled, by any other preparation in the
tJhited States, as the cures attest, in many cases
after skilful physicians had failed.
These Bitters are worthy the attention of Inva-
lids. Possessing great virtues in the rectification
of the liver and lesser glands, exercising the most
searching power in weakness and affections of the
digestive organs, they are withal safe certain and
pleasant.
Testimony from Texas.

Every -woman tkould know that if she is in poor, s.cltly,
debilitated condition of health, making existence a bnrden
to herself and a source of palnfol anxiety to her relatives
and'friends, and perhaps, (horrible rejection!) entailing
and inflicting her own maladies and Fullering* upon her
children, that it is her duty to urnlcr-and trby and from
what cause her suHering3 arise, thai remedy and relief
may, while yet there is time, be availed of, &ht causes be
avoided in future, and her health r*«tor«kl, that the may
be fitted for the duties and capable of the enjoynente of
life.
Let every woman look at the emaciated form, the death-
like complexion, the deep-buried, lustrcleat eye, the sunk*
ca cheek, the gloomy and depressed spirits, the shattered
nerves, the prostrate and helpless condition of many a
wife, mother, daughter, or sister, If not bertelf Included,
within her own circle, whose days are day* of agony, and
ask herself, uMust this continue? Must this be? Is
there no remedy ? No relief? No hope ?*•
The remedy is by knowing the causes and avoiding
them, and knowing the remedies and benefiting by them.
These are pointed out in
XHE MARRIED WOMAN'S
PRIVATE MEDICAL COMPANION,
BY DR. A. M. MAURICKAU,
PROFESSOR OF DISEASES OF WOMBS.
One hundredth Edition (500,000). IScio., pp. 300.
[ox FIXE PAPER, EXTRA BIXDISO, $1 00.]
Every complaint to which a woman is subject, from girl-
hood to womanhood, as also as wife and as mother, are fol-
ly described, with'the causes, the symptoms, and also pro-
per mode of treatment, in a plain, simple, but in the most
chaste language, easily understood. And thus every wo-
man can discover, by comparing her own symptoms with
those described, the nature, character, and causes of her
complaint; and be spared much anxiety and suffering.
The wife about becoming a mother has often need of
instruction and advice of the utmost importance to her
future health, in respect to which her sensKiveae#s for-
bids consulting a medical gentleman, will find such in-
struction and advice, and also explain many symptoms
which otherwise would occasion anxiety or alarm.
llow many are suffering from obstructions or irregul*ri-
.tiee peculiar to the female system, which underm!ne the
health, the effects of which they are ignorant, and for
which their delicacy forbids seeking medical advice ? How
many suffer from prolapsus uteri (falling of the womb),
ortromjluor aifnn(weakness, debility, 4c.) f Uowmany
are in constant agony for many months preceding confine-
ment? llow many have difficult, If not dangerous deliv-
eries, and slow and uncertain recoveries? Some whose
lives are hazarded during such time,-will each find in its
pages the means of prevention, amelioration and relief.
How masj bitter moments, how mnch anguish, might
have been spared to the sufferer, to her husband, t«* her
relatives, by the timely possession of this little volume.
It is impracticable to convey fully «he various subjeetn
treated of, as they are of a nature strictly intended for
the married, or those contemplating marriage.
But no husband, wife or mother are excusuble if they
still continue in ignorance of those physiological laws, by
the knowledge of which their own health and happiness,
as al.*o the future well-being of their children, are secured.
"THE MARRIED WOMAN'S PRIVATE MEDICAL

rjlHAT desirable location known as Moretown,
JL situated at the great lulls of the Colorado
River, about 50 miles from the city of Anstin, is
now offered for sale on very advantageous terms.
This sp'cndid water power presents advantages
for improvement rarely to be met with. The river
here lias a fall of 461 feet in about one mile, so
divides i\s to raafce mill sites, and the vast
amount of u-iter afforded -fumitUes sen immense
amount of power. The tract consists of 580
acres, at the lower falls, ou the West side of the
river a considerable part of which is covered
with excellent cedar timber for building purposes.
The advantages combined in this location are
rarely equalled by the manufacturing cities at the
North. Further description is deemed unnectssa-
ry as the property must be seen to be appreciated.
To a company of manufacturing capitalists an
undivided half interest would be sold, and to those
of smaller means who desire to improve, building
lots would be sold on very low terms. For far-
