TO THE PEOPLE OF
Carlton & Adjacent Territory
This territory is predicted by Geologist to become one of the largest Oil
Fields in the United States. The undersigned influential citizens of
Hamilton have organized the
Hamilton Oil and Refining Association
' I i' ". •:
For the purpose of developing the Oil and Mineral Resources of this territory. Every
resident citizen in this country should subscribe to the stock in this association for the
following reasons: Oil is one of the main factors in winning this war. The price pf
Crude Oil is advancing rapidly. If oil is discovered in this territory, and we believe it will
be, it will mean the greatest prosperity this country has ever known. We have already
received dozens of applications and checks from the patriotic citizens of Hamilton county,
who not only want to make money, from Oil, but who also know the value of Oil to our
Government at this time, and we take this opportunity to thank them that their 'money,
less only the necessary expenses, will be used entirely to drill for Oil on the locations that
an expert Geologist informs us that Oil may be found. We want every stockholder to see
that his neighbor becomes a stockholder.
HERE IS OUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
This company owns thousands of acres of leases and will drill its first well as soon as
enough stock is sold. There are also six (6) other wells to be drilled in the near future in
- _ _ v ' • o .
Hamilton County and this association owns leases adjacent to every well. If any one of these
•wells should prove a gusher it would mean fortunes to the stockholders in this association.
Seven Chances.
-These six wells, besides our own, give every stockholder seven chances to make big
money on their investment, possibly to get rich, and also it will mean a bigger Hamilton, a
bigger business for every merchant,-a bigger value per acre for every farm. This naturally
would bring better schools, better roads, and besides bringing this prosperty we have pro-
duced one of the most vital necessities of the present day and age, OIL.
This field offers opportunities that could pay as big as any of the
- aforesaid investments.
It might pay you to investigate the fortunes that hav,e been made in
Oil in Stephens, Parker, Jack, Palo Pinto, Hood, Estland, Calla-
ham, Coleman and Brownwood Counties.
Lets add Hamilton to this li<t for the reports of our field
are excellent and we believe oil is here.
This first allotment of stock will be sold at per, $1.00 per share, and
is subject to advance without notice.
Mail all applications to the Hamilton Oil and Refining Association or
any of the Officers below.
