Suddenlink
plans $120
million IX
investment
program
Suddenlink expects to
invest nearly $120 million
this year in Texas, and by
the end of the year will
have invested nearly a
half-billion dollars in the
state since 2006.
Suddenlink is the third-
largest operator of its kind
in Texas, offering cable TV,
high-speed Internet, phone
and other services. It has
increased its capital spend-
ing in the state in recent
months to help introduce
new and enhanced ser-
vices.
According to Todd
Cruthird and Dave Gilles
- Suddenlink Senior Vice
Presidents of Operations
for east and west Texas,
respectively — the 2011
investments in Texas will
help roll out more high-
definition TV channels and
enhance video, phone and
Internet services. Since
late 2009, Suddenlink has
significantly increased cap-
ital spending in the state
and continues to invest to
further enhance the overall
quantity, quality and reli-
ability of its services.
In 2007 and 2008,
Suddenlink met aggressive
goals to roll out its phone
service to most of its oper-
ating areas. It has since
been rolling out video on
demand (VOD), WiFi@
Home, TV Caller ID, fast-
er Internet speeds and
in many locations a new
home security service.
Suddenlink serves
about 450,000 house-
holds and approximately
27,000 business custom-
ers in Texas. Suddenlink's
cable systems in Amarillo,
Lubbock, Abilene, Bryan-
College Station, Midland,
San Angelo, Georgetown,
Tyler, Victoria.
Conroe, Kingwood and

Cholesterol can play a
critical role in a person's
health. It's important that
all people know what their
cholesterol level is and
how it affects their risk of
developing heart disease.
People also need to learn
about all the risk factors
for heart disease.
Linda Kite, Public Health
Promotions Coordinator/
Lab IV of the Sweetwater

Department, noted, "They
have an average of 90
show-ups for their choles-
