Obituary
I am home in heaven dear ones, all the pain and grief are over and
I am now at peace forever.
It is with great sadness that the family of Henry Holman must say
goodbye, as he goes to our heavenly father after a courageous battle
with liver cancer. He showed strength until the end. Henry was
born May 20, 1933 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to Lucille and
Lonnie Holman. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1977 from the
United States Air Force. His time in service included the Korean
conflict and the Vietnam War. Henry received numerous accom-
modation medals, decorations and awards throughout his career.
For fifteen years Henry was greatly involved with Second Baptist
Church serving on the Fidelia and Consoler Usher Boards.
Henry leaves behind the love of his life Ann Holman. He had a tal-
ent for bringing special meaning to her life, together they shared 55
years of endless love. They parented four children, Carol, John
(Misty), Joyce (Oscar), Tony (Myong). As a dad, he always made
sure that his family was taken care of, even if it meant he had to
sacrifice something important to himself. A message from Henry to
his grandchildren, JJ, Kathy, Chris, Joseph, Jonathan and great-
granddaughter, Jaelynn, Grandpa wants you to know how much
you've given him in happiness. He loved all of you with such joy
and pride. His face lit up each time you were together. To my
Mother Lucille Holman, brother Thaddeus Holman, sisters Frances
and Lorine Holman and those who held a very special place in my
heart. Remember it is only for a while that we must part, treasure
the memories of our lives together in your heart. To my loved ones
and friends "If You knew"-by Steven Kimworthy
If you knew where I am standing, if you could see the sights I see, if
you could hear the angels singing the songs they sing eternally, if you
knew the one I'm holding and could see the smile he smiles at me, if
you knew where I am resting, you would not cry for me. I'm resting
in the arms of Jesus, no other place would I rather be. So if you shed
a tear, please don't shed it for me, for if you knew where I am resting
you would not cry for me.

Eulogy "A Friend Of God" Rev. Dr. Robert L. Jemerson
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me
thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my
works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the
devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain
man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our fa-
ther justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon
the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by
works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled
which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto
him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith
only. James 2:18-24
