Poem
And as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind
from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, Mas-
ter, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that was born
blind? Jesus answered, neither has this man sinned, nor
his parents: but that the works of God should be made
manifest in him. I must work the works of him that
sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no
man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the
light of the world. When he has thus spoken, he spat
on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he
anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And
said unto him, Go, wash in the pool ofSilaom, (which
means, Sent) He went his way therefore, and washed,
and came seeing.
When I am dead, cry for a little while, think of me
sometimes, but not too much. It is not good for you
to allow ymir thoughts to dwell too long on the dead.
Think of me now and again as I was in life at some mo-
ment when it is pleasant to recall but not for long,
"leave me in peace, while you live let your thoughts be
with the living."
Willie leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Willie
and Betty Green, Sr.; brother, Fredrick; sister, Gorgia
Lynn; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Ezebb
and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Farine Smith; sister-
in-law, Emily; two nieces numerous uncles and aunts
and many friends; his godfather, Lee Mackey.
