My Story, My Life Continued:
"Jerry" always started her day with saying, 4This is the day the Lord has
made, let us rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24). Her two favorite praise
songs were "What A Mighty Cod We Serve"and *This Is The Day."
On January 27, 2004, at 10:50 p.m., Cod decided to have her pack for
one last trip. She did not need a suitcase, because her white robe, trimmed in
gold was waiting for her.
In addition to her daughter, Pamela and son-in-law Clarence Boyd,
Wood bridge, VA; her son, Doug and daughter-in-law, Renae Bordley, Newpon
News, VA; adopted daughter, TSgt Ruby Bordley, Boiling AFB, Washington, DQ
grandson, Joshua Boyd, granddaughter, Khadijah Bordley, and adopted
grandson, Mike Hightower, she is survived by two sisters, Ozell Tolliver, San
Antonio, TX, Minnie Thompson, Dover, DE; Husband, John Bordley; her mother-
in-law, Gertrude Bordley; four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, and all her devoted special friends.
This Is Her Story. This Was Her Life. This is the day Cod has made, let us
rejoice and celebrate her going home.
