% The Petition of Philip S Whiteside, a citizen of this
Republic, would most respectfully represent, to your Honor that
one D. B Madden, is justly indebted, to him the amount of
Two hundred, Dollars, on an account, a copy of which, is
^^%%*p^to appended, and being so indebted, he the said defendant un-
dertook and then, and there faithfully promised your petitioner,
that he would pay the said sum of money whenever he should be there-
unto afterward requested, and your petetioner alledges that the said
Defendant altho, often requested so to do has not paid the said
sum of money but to pay the same or any part thereof,
hitherto wholly neglected and refused, to the damage of your
petetioner three hundred dollars. Your petetioner would pray
your Honor for a judgment, for his said debt and the Costs on
this behalf expended and for all other and farther relief as
