FOR the amendment to the Constitution of the State of Texa
providing that taxation . I' real property shall be ei|uul and uniform;
and that all property in this State, other than that owned by municipal
corporations, shall be taxed in proportion to its value as may be ascertain-
ed as provided by law; and providing that the Legislature may make rea-
sonable classifications of all property, other than real property, for tin-
purpose of taxation; and tliat the taxation of all property in any class
shall be (<]unl and uniform; and providing further that the Legislature
ina> impose poll tax and occupation tax and income tax and exemption
from occupation lax persons engaged in mechanical and agricultural
pursuits; and exempting from taxation Two Hundred and Fifty ($250.00
Dollars worth of household and kitchen furniture belonging to each
family and providing that the occupation tux levied by any county, city

period.

Constitution providing for the levying and collection of taxes and fixing
tht maximum amount thereof which can be collected and expended each
biennium.
\GAINST the amendment of Section 3 of Article VIII of the State
Constitution providing for the levying ami collection of taxes and fixing
the maximum amount thereof which can be collected and expended each
biennium.
FOR the amendment to the Constitution of the State of Texas
adding Section ill to Article XVI, abolishing tin TV,. System of compen-
sating all district officers and all county offio r- in counties having a
population of twenty thousand (20,000) or more; and authorizing th«
Commissioners' Court to determine whether county officers in counties
containing le- than twenty thousand (20,000) population shall be com-
pensated on a fee basis nr a salary basis; and authorizing the Commis-
ioners' Court in all countiis of thi State to determine whether precinct
officer.- shall be compensated on a fee "i salary basis.
