Mi tor ng oil ovei1 the once old familiar
■ i ad and whil. crossing Cedar ('reek
mar th> Saver-- and Walton old ranch
we listened perhaps our last time to
the whispering breeze and the
laughing leaves tha: ust to he ours
in ur long ago boyhood days, Con-
tinuing on we reached the oil field
and after seeing all that was to be
seen, went on to Dale, ate dinner,
i spending the evening there. At ft p.
rn. we started for home returning
home via Red Rock and while we
hadn't been over the grounds since
71. we recognized the old stake and
rider cedar rail fence once the
property of Col. Marsh Trigg. Mot-
oring down the valley we passed
another familiar spot, the old home
cf our boyhood friend, Brooks Duval
long since passed on with our many
long ago boyhood and girlhood chums
away back there . Passing thru the
old town where we use to know ev-
ery man and woman, as Mr. and Mrs.
and John and Mary—Oh! where have
they gone the remembered faces and
the unforgotten things in the yester-
days.
McDade freely concedes to Elgin
and Bastrop all the "scoutin" wild
■ats in Texas, but we have more wild

the Yegua bottom, on the surface
and more of the golden fluid in the
bowels of the earth than Elgin
Bastrop tan ever expect to have. All
McDade ne i- is developm. nt and

IT is estimated that within a single year over
50,(KX> footsteps pass across your floor. Each
step mars its beauty — scars its surtace — wears
it down.
Defeat this damage—put between tht-se feet and
the floor, a fighting film of Devoe Floor Faint. It
will make your floor sparkle with the ^i« >w of
youth, impart new vitality to the entire room
and is easy to keep clean.
