Sumter lost his dwelling by fire.
He rebuilt a very pretty place, and
had everything fixed up suuif and
nice. Monday morning the terrible
cyclone swept bhiii cveiything he
had even to his well. He went to
his well for water, and was disap-
pointed. there was iio well there, in
the place where the well was, alas gc
pine tree stood. It had been taken
up by the roots and driven, root
down, into the well filling it so com-
pletely that it seemed to have grown
there. This is truth and can Is-
