SOMETHIN' OUTA BE DONE!!
Because of the increase in the
price of razor blades and after
examining the fact that our
teachers oould use a raise, we are
asking that more young men
will join the profession of be-
coming barbers. By the looks
of things around the campus,
you'd think this was a Japanese
prison camp. There seem* to
be a tight race between the
head of the history department
and the head of the agriculture
department, and it looks like
CHARLIE CHAN is in the
lead..

"YOUR SERVICE ORGANIZATION'
School turned out last Thurs-
day afternoon for the holidays
until Tuesday. Everyone en-
joyed the vacation.
Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Galloway
went to Jayton last Wednesday
afternoon to watch Aspermont
girls in their track meet with
Jayton.
Guests of Mrs. Ward's' fresh-
man English class on Tuesday
were Mrs. Cecil Klump, English
teacher from Old Glory. She
brought a student, Janet Drue-
sedow, who gave her poetry
reading for the regional meet
for the class.
We are glad to haye Mr.
Johnson back in school again and
over his spell of illness.
Seniors chose Charles Masse-
gee, Hardin-Simmons University
student, as baccaaureate speak-
i er. Norris Onstead, pastor of
! Swenson Baptist Church, was
i selected as alternate. Thti class
| also voted to have a commence-
ment speaker. Supt. T. C. Clark
was asked to secure a speaker
for that occasion.
All English students will be
privileged to attend a book re-
view on April 29. Mrs. McGinty,
speech teacher from Abilene
Christian College, will be the
guest reviewer.
Chemistry themes were hand-
ed in Friday, Apri 12th, and
everyone, especially seniors, are
working on English themes.
Seniors are having play prac-
tice every evening now. The
mystery approaching everyone
now is—why did Doyle leave
play practice about an hour
early Tuesday night? Was it a
girl? Don't miss the exciting
chapter in next week's edition!
