In th eighteenth renewal of (he
Chamber of Commerce stako for 2:1!
class pacers and established a new
record for th event 1:0! 1-4. The
race was the feature of the second
day of the Orand Circuit meet at the
suite Fair grounds.
Farra easily captured the 1:16 trot
Etawah was beat In the !:10 trot
while Eddie Dlllard managed to win
the 2 08 pace after the hottest race
of th afternoon.
The Chamber of Commerce contest
was between Frank Bogash Jr.. and
Leata J. Each heat was hard fought
all the way. In the first Stetbrlno
had led to the three-quarters .with
Lata J. and Frank Bogash jr. close
up. Coming Into the stretch Leata J.
and Bogash pulled away and In the
drive for home the mare was left a
length behind. Not until the distance
flag was reached In the second heat
did Murphy's horse show In front hut
again he outlasted the mare- The last
half of this heat was covered in
1:00 3-4.
In the final round there was a
whipping- finish with the son of Frank
Bogash a le'ngth to the good and the
wire. It was In that last heat that
Frank Bogash. Jr. lowered the stake
record of 3:01. set by the Eel In 1008
going the mile In 2:02 34.
Fara was not extended to win the
2:16 trot In straight heats.
Veteran Ed deers made his first ap-
pearnce of the week behind the won-
derful colt Etawah In the 2:10 trot.
Pitted against aged campaigners the
youngster won easily.
The 2:01 pace furnished the great-
est contest of the day. In some of the
closest finishes ever seen at the local
track Knight Onwardo. Molly Darling
and Eddie Dlllard each won a heat.
Only the heat winners came out for
the final heat. Mollle Darling and
Knight Onwardo raced heads apart
aiound the stretch with Eddie Dll-
lard at their heels- In the last eighth
Dlllard forced Onwardo Into a break
and won In a common Jog with Molly
Darling a poor second.
Tomorrow's card Includes the fam-
ous M. A M. $10000 stake for 2:34
trotters; the 3:10 pace and 2:08 pace
$1000 each and the 2:05 pace 12000.

The new mechanical building of the
Agricultural College 1 nearlng com-
pletion and will be ready for the new
