More Fruit Yogurt, Vlom
Even youngsters with a sweet tooth
seem to like fruits — provided
there's a twist.
Consume- research by Del Monte
Foods Inc. has concluded that
children most often prefer yogurt
in four flavors: strawberry, rasp-
berry, blueberry and peach. The
research shows they like yogurt
that is pre-stirred with a creamy

Hospital Board
Okays Tax Rate
At a special meeting Monday, the
Board of Directors of the Starr
County Hospital District voted to
set the 1988-89 tax rate at 20 cents,
a large increase from the current
rate of eight cents.
The motion to set the tax rate at
20 cents was made by board
member Ross LaGrange
A public hearing on the tax rate
increase was held on Thursday,
Sept 1 at the hospital
The board members say that the
increase is necessary due to losses
in recent years caused largely by
declining reimbursements from
Medicare and Medicaid. Other
purposes of the increase, says the
board, are keeping and recruiting
high-caliber personnel, and re-
placement of obsolete equipment
