Texas to attend a Science symposium
co-sponsored by UT and the U.S. Army
Research Center.
The four students are Rolando Guerrero,
Mark Ceballos, Adolfo Pena, and Daniel

chosen to attend the annual symposium.
The selections were based upon annual
abstracts submitted by Texas high school
students working on their science projects.
Club Members Honor
Husbands With Social
Members of the Florence J. Scott Study
Club honored their husbands with their
traditional Valentine Social held every
February
Social Chairman Celeste Narro and
committee members Canie Huerta, Lydia
Garza, and Rosie Garcia planned the
dinner and dance held at the Brass Bull
Restaurant.
Held on Sunday evening, February 19,
the social began with a cordial hour,
followed by a delicious meal, then dancing
to live music provided by a local group.
Fun, food, and friendship was enjoyed by
all in attendance.
This was the second social of the year,
the first being the Christmas party held to
honor the children of the members. Santa
Claus was the special guest at this fun
social, also planned by Mrs. Narro and her
committee. Sandwiches, cake, and punch
were served, and each child received a
surprise bag of goodies from Santa Claus.
Delicious refreshments were served by
the hostesses Telca Porras, Nydia
Mayeux, and Lucinda Vela.
