SCIENCE CLUB TAKES FIELD TRIP-The
RGCHS Science Club took a field trip to the Pan
American University Science facilities. The tour
began at the Planetarium and Observatory, where
they saw tapes of Saturn Voyager I. Dr. Le Master,
head of the Physics Department, spoke to the students
about research experiments being done at PAU. The
students also toured the Chemistry labs with Dr.
Castrillon, Chemistry Department Head; and an
Animal Tour Guide took the club through the
Biological Taxidermal Museum. They also went
through the Computer Center with Ricardo Canales,
who is in charge of computer programming. He
showed how computers are used and described the
courses available in Computer Technology. Dr. Lujan
spoke to the group on student services, the tutorial
program, and entrance requirements. The Science
Club is grateful to the professors for taking the time
from their busy schedules to take them on the tour of
the Science facilities.
