approaching marriage of Maria Elena Gutierrez and
Wesley Rollins III has been announced by the bride
elect's mother, Mrs. Guadalupe A. Gutierrez of
Zapata Miss Gutierrez is the daughter of Rodoifo
Gutierrez, also of Zapata. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Rollins, .Jr. of Rio Grande City are parents of the future
bridegroom. Exchange of vows will be Saturday,
September 20, at 7:30 p.m. in San Luis Rey Church in
I-aredi Lather Bernard Justin will officiate at the

employed by the Webb County District Clerk's Office.

Clements Approves Criminal Justice Grants
Governor William P.
Clements, Jr., has approved
three criminal justice grants
affecting Starr County.
They are $8,591 to purchase
and install a high speed
teletype terminal in the
Roma Police Department;
$13,774 to continue operation
of the 229th Judicial District
Juvenile Probation
Department which serves
Stai r, Jim Hogg and Duval
counties; and $4,125 to
Starr A(IS Supports
