An old-time favorite song, "Count Your Blessings," urges one to
"count your many blessings, name then one by one". This would
indeed be a beneficial pasttime, more .seful by far than the oft-
practiced habit of counting our troubles. If we were to literally
count each and name them one by one, it is almost sure that the
blessings would be far greater in number. This poem also helps us
think of those things that really "count" in life. "Count your garden
by the flowers, Never by the leaves that fall; Count your days by
golden hours. Don't remember clouds at all. Count your nights by
stars, not shadows; Count your years with smiles, not tears. Count
your blessings, not your troubles; Count your age by friends, not
years.
